Building libmp3lame.dll yourself, for Lusid's B Box ==================================================== This is how the libmp3lame.dll that ships with B Box 0.15.1 was built. lame-3.100-build.sh beside this file is the script our build server ran; it also fetches the source from B Box's own (private) build files, so on your PC use these steps instead. They are the same build. 1. Install MSYS2 (https://www.msys2.org) and open its "MSYS2 MINGW64" shell. 2. Install the compiler and make: pacman -S --needed mingw-w64-x86_64-gcc make 3. Unpack the source and build the library: tar -xzf lame-3.100-source.tar.gz cd lame-3.100 ./configure --enable-shared --disable-static --disable-frontend --disable-gtktest make 4. Take the library out and shrink it: cp libmp3lame/.libs/libmp3lame-0.dll libmp3lame.dll strip libmp3lame.dll 5. Tell B Box to use it: set the Windows environment variable BBOX_LIBMP3LAME to the full path of your libmp3lame.dll (for example C:\Users\you\lame\libmp3lame.dll), then restart B Box. You may change the LAME source before step 3. LAME is under the GNU Library General Public License, version 2 or any later version; the full text is in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt and in lame-3.100/COPYING.
